얼핏 내용은 단순해 보인다. 4명의 페인터들이 함께 뒤섞여 그림을 그리는 게 전부다. 하나의 작품을 완성하면 그다음 작품으로 넘어간다. 하지만 어디에서도 볼 수 없었던 창의적인 드로잉으로 관객을 매료한다.
페인터즈들은 손만으로 그림을 그리지 않는다. 온몸으로 표현한다. 특히 아이돌을 방불케 하는 군무 등은 잠시도 눈을 뗄 수 없게 한다. 빛을 조각하는 라이트 카빙, 물 위에서 펼쳐지는 마블링, 그리고 몸짓 하나하나의 위트와 반전에 시간 가는 줄 모른다. 관객들은 이 유쾌한 퍼포먼스가 그림의 완성을 향한 여정이라는 사실에 또 한 번 놀란다.
공연이 끝났을 때는 마치 한 편의 콘서트나, 어반 댄스, 마술 쇼를 본 것 같다. ‘페인터즈 시즌2’는 전편에 비해 한층 강렬하다. 더 드라마틱한 액션 페인팅, 3D 입체 영상 등 미디어아트가 결합해 최고의 쇼를 선보인다.

At first glance, the story seems simple. Four painters shuffle around and paint together. When they finish one piece, they move on to the next. However, they captivate the audience with their creative drawings, which have never been seen before.
Painters don't just paint with their hands. They use their whole bodies. In particular, idol-like synchronized choreography never lets you look away. The light carving, the marbling on the water, and the wit and twists in their gestures make time fly.
